If you have a Covered California agent, you can contact your agent to start the renewal process for 2022.
It is important to review your health plan during the renewal period. This means you may now qualify for financial help.
Of course, the amount of financial help you may get depends on your household income, age, where you live and your family size.
2022 Covered California Plans
Covered California announced its plans and rates for the 2022 coverage year. The American Rescue Plan will continue to provide lower premiums, at levels never seen before, throughout 2022.
The preliminary average rate change of 1.8 percent will apply to California’s individual market.

2022 Covered California Open Enrollment
Open Enrollment for Covered California begins on November 1, 2021 and continues until January 31, 2022

What Are Your Options During Open Enrollment?
Depending on your current situation, you have the following options.
- Purchase a plan through Covered California. You may want to buy a health plan if you qualify for a tax credit.
- Renew or change your current plan. During the open enrollment period, you can renew your current plan. You don’t need to do anything if you want to keep what you have. However, You need to review your plan options and to switch to a plan that best suits your current needs.
