Astiva Medicare members are facing a major change in 2026 — one that could disrupt how thousands of Korean seniors in Orange County and San Diego access care. The long-standing partnership between Astiva Medicare and Seoul Medical Group will officially end in 2026, meaning members will no longer be able to see Seoul Medical Group doctors under their Astiva plan.
Skyline Benefit is an independent Medicare broker serving Orange County’s Korean community. We stay on top of changes like this so members don’t lose access to trusted doctors — or end up paying more than they should.
Why Did Astiva and Seoul Medical Group End Their Contract in 2026?
Astiva Medicare grew quickly after its launch in 2021, especially by targeting the Korean community with unique perks like:
- Part B premium support
- Dental and acupuncture benefits
- Grocery assistance programs
But rapid growth also came with financial losses. For 2026, Astiva is scaling back — cutting benefits and ending its provider relationship with Seoul Medical Group, the largest Korean medical group in the Americas.
What Does This Mean for Astiva Medicare Members in 2026?
If you’re currently enrolled in an Astiva plan:
- Starting January 1, 2026, you will not be able to use Seoul Medical Group doctors
- You will need to switch providers or change plans during the 2026 Medicare Open Enrollment Period (Oct. 15 – Dec. 7, 2025).
- If you don’t make a change, you risk losing access to your preferred doctors and benefits you’ve relied on.
When Can Members Make a Change?
- Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP): October 15 – December 7, 2025
- Coverage changes will begin January 1, 2026
- Missing this window could mean being locked into a plan that no longer works for you
What Should Astiva Medicare and Seoul Medical Group 2026 Members Do?
If you’re a current Astiva member who sees Seoul Medical Group doctors, you have three key steps:
- Review your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC): This document explains exactly what’s changing in your Astiva plan.
- Check if your providers are still in-network: If Seoul Medical Group is your main provider, you’ll need to explore alternatives.
- Compare your options: Many Medicare Advantage plans in Orange County still include strong dental, vision, and provider networks that could meet your needs.
